Can i put my old computers hard drive in my new one?
I had a compaq presario, Windows XP but the PCU(Power Supply Unit) died on it. Now i have a new computer(a emachine, Windows 7.)
I have very valiable info on that old Hard drive.
My question is: Can i take my old computers Hard drive out and put it in my new computer to get my files out – or am i just gonna have to buy a new PCU for the Compaq?
Yes, you should be able to do that quite easily.
As long as the emachine has the appropriate interface for the drive that comes from your old PC, that is.
