Is it possible to call the police through a computer or laptop?
Does anyone know whether it is possible to contact the police through a PC / laptop, etc? My mother left me alone at home while many of my father and I work here sometimes low noise, easy for someone coming into my house and I feel much safer knowing I could call the police, while on my laptop.
Without a general idea where you live is a bit difficult to say what is possible and what is not your city in particular. I remember reading that some U.S. cities have installed the text message function on your 911. My instincts tell me that living a share in the UK and I'm really not very familiar with the police in this country. I suggest you call the police in your area and find out for themselves. You can try to see if your city has its own site, because almost certainly a link to information from the Police Department in general. If research on the Internet does not give a definitive answer, you can call the local police directly in non-emergency number where you can walk into the police department and someone inside will be able to give an exact answer. If you often feel alone at home that their safety is at risk, may raise this matter with their parents. I'm sure you do not want you too feel you are safe at home.
