What is the little pointer in the center of some laptops called?
My old laptop had a red dot….I got so used to using it(instead of the touch pad) that I really would like to have it on my soon to be new laptop.
Are there any laptops that come with this option?
Technically, it’s called a “TrackPoint”, trademarked by IBM, though it’s commonly known as “pointing stick”. Other makers have other names for it, as they don’t want to use the IBM trademarked name.

Lenovo, which took over the IBM laptop business, still makes some models with it.
