can a laptop that takes ddr ram take ddr2 also?
i am thinking about buying a laptop on craigslist and its takes ddr ram and my dad has 2gb of ddr2 ram would that be compatible with a lapop thats takes ddr?

unfortunately you can’t fit ddr2 ram to a computer that’s designed for ddr1 ram first of all the modules are physically different so they won’t fit second it did fit it wouldn’t work as ddr2 it quite different electronically
