What do i need to download on my refurbished laptop?
I just baught a refurbished samsung v25 laptop for my nephew and absolutely everything is running slow. The videos are choppy, although sound is fine, the internet freezes even when its the only thing i have up. I was wondering what are the best things to download to a laptop so that it runs smooth. Oh and adjusting the acceleration doesnt make a difference. thanks
Downloading other programs isn’t the answer. You don’t add MORE, you subtract FROM.
First thing you do, is perform a factory recovery. You wipe EVERYTHING from the laptop, and you reinstall the Operating System and all the default programs it comes with out of the factory.
However, you are up against a tall wall here. That laptop is an older XP machine. It was originally shipped with 256mb of Ram. XP with all the latest updates requires a minimum of 313mb or Ram now. So, if the memory on that refurbished laptop hasn’t been upgraded, it is going to run slow no matter what you do.
So, you perform a factory recovery. If you don’t have the discs for that, you will have to call and order them at 1-800-SAMSUNG (1-800-726-7864). Then, you get two 512mb sticks for that laptop, so that it has 1gb of RAM. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820159406 two of those.
THEN the laptop should start running as it should.
End of line
