Is my HP laptop battery covered under the 1 year warranty?
I bought an HP pavilion laptop back in April and the battery is already shot.The icon at the lower right corner comes on as a red “X”,and then click on the icon and it says there is a problem with the battery and could cause the laptop to turn off unexpectedly and should be replaced.The copmuter usually warns me when the battery is about to die,but now it just shuts off without warning.I have to leave it plugged in all the time.Should my battery be covered under the warranty? I only bought it 8 months ago!
Nope. Manufacturer’s warranties don’t cover batteries for laptops. You’ll have to buy a new one.
