Hooking a wireless internet up from a main computer with a router to a lap top.?
I just got a lap top recently. I also own a main desk top computer. I had the router installed to the desk top and now I’m wondering why the Linksys wireless notebook adapter I had installed in the lap top is not allowing the internet to be accessable. Any advice?
I dont think it is related to the fact that its a laptop, at my old house we had a laptop running through a linksys to a desktop and it worked fine, so run the routine maintenance, replug everything in, first, and second, run an ip reset, to do that, in your command prompt, type the following
ipconfig/release
ipconfig/renew
ipconfig/flushdns
run each command one at a time and it should set it up for ya….if that dont work, check to make sure your ethernet cards are tightly plugged in, cords all in place…so on, good luck!
